Lync’s Device and File Audit SDK enables technology partners to detect removable media connecting to PCs, Notebooks and Servers, generating a detailed audit of not only the device connecting, but also the information transferred to and from that device. The audit is transparent to the end user whilst the data and device information is being collected.

- Captures device details including type, category, name, serial number, user and computer names
- Detailed audit log of file transactions to and from the device including real file type, file properties, source/destination locations, logged on user name, date/time of the operation
- Audit is invisible to the end user
- Optionally configure to retain a copy of file being transferred
- If PC or notebook is offline, the client will cache details of the file operation, including a retained copy and then upload when back on-line
